Point Arena Light House
The original light house was constructed in 1870. In April of 1906, a devastating earthquake struck the region and damaged the original lighthouse. The new Lighthouse was erected (to withstand earthquakes), and began operation on October 15, 1908, nearly 18 months after the great quake.
