Afghanistan 2009 - 2012

Here are a few photos I took while I worked in hospitals throughout Afghanistan.

Here is a snapshot of a huge sandstorm I was stuck in.
Due to security reasons I couldn't show the other buildings or the flightline, a lot of this image has been cropped out.

Those were some gnarly mountains.

Medevac going out, even in poor weather. These guys are my heroes.

I spent a lot of time waiting for birds.

Meet Aisha

She was a translator who worked in Bagram Hospital. She grew up in Kabul and was smuggled out of the country when she was in college and the soviets were rolling in. She's one of the kindest souls I've had the pleasure to meet. This is a candid photo of her hugging another kind soul, spreading good.
