A Little About Me

Howdy stranger, my name is Ray.

I'm an amateur photographer, web developer/designer, linux nerd, and bacon enthusiast. As of late I have had an addiction to creating timelapse videos. My favorite medium to shoot is long exposure photography.

Sometimes I dabble in a little bit of web design. I believe in clean handmade web development. I don't use WYSIWYG editors or templates. The result is a clean, fast loading website with minimal load times and extreme attention to detail. All of my sites feature beautifully written code (PHP, CSS, etc), have a look for yourself, view the source of this page.

From time to time I write software or do linux admin work. I'm a voip enthusiast. I love building phone systems with Asterisk, an open source voice over IP platform.

I've lived in a number of places, including Afghanistan. I currently reside in Reno, NV. I'm enamored by the Pacific northwest and love to travel.

I've built storm a storm shelter, for under $300, using rammed earthbags. In the process I moved 15 tons of dirt and lost 50lbs. [Construction Gallery]

I'm addicted to bacon.

I'm always looking for opportunities to do new and interesting things.
